The Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, Hon. Liana Kakhobwe Chapota (MP), visited Central Region Water Board on 16 February 2023. She was accompanied by the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Water and Sanitation Mr. Elias Chimulambe and some Directors from the Ministry.

She was welcomed by the Board Chairman of Central Region Water Board Mr. Eddison Mombera, Management and Staff.

The Board Chairman highlighted some of the challenges the Board faces in its endeavors to serve the people.

The Principal Secretary acknowledged the challenges water boards face in various water works while serving the people. He was, however, optimistic that various interventions being put by the water boards and CRWB in particular, in collaboration with the Ministry, will soon reduce water supply challenges.

Speaking to Staff Members, the Deputy Minister, encouraged them to work hard even when the environment was not so enabling. She revealed to the members of staff that Government has planned to settle bills from public institutions in the financial year 2023-2024.
